With an emphasis on safety as well as versatility, the new Hydraulic Gantry is an impressive and innovative lifting safety system that boasts a lifting capacity of 350 tons. The system integrates engineering, design, production and services processes to enable this new piece of equipment to reach unprecedented levels of quality and service.

“In the relatively small rigging market of Southern Africa, versatility is the name of the game. The ability to be versatile and never say no to a request is what customers want to hear and we have found over 26 years that staying ahead is about investing in the quiet times and being ready for the busy times with a full tool box. This gantry investment is about a belief in the return of the good times for Southern Africa,” explain Lovemore.

The Hydraulic Gantry has increased height capabilities and ultimate safety features, including the LIFT-N-LOCK® cam locking technology, which provides true continual load protection throughout the duration of the lift.   In the unlikely event a lift cylinder would lose pressure, the LIFT-N-LOCK® safety system will immediately engage to hold the load in place, protecting both the riggers and those on site as well as the load.

Added to the safety features, the hydraulic gantry can work in confined spaces or low overhead areas while remaining mobile and easily transportable.

“At a cost of approximately R3.85m, this is not an investment taken lightly. Considering that specialised rigging tools are not used daily, it is essential that the business has sufficient critical mass to carry this investment between projects. But in the same sentence, it is critical to have access to the Gantry at short notice and thus the investment in specialised tooling for serious players is unavoidable

The brand new Hydraulic Gantry that was shipped in from the USA, has already completed its first job with the lifting of Venture Plastics new 76 ton injection molder.
