Our Heavy Lift division has undertaken several heavy lift projects across various industries including Civils, Commercial, Mining, Petrochemical and Construction. We provide the equipment, personnel and engineering and logistics solution to projects that involve the movement of heavy and abnormally sized machinery and equipment.

Our Heavy Lift Solution comprises the following specialised equipment:
- Hydraulic Gantries (226T, 318T and 400T): These lifting systems are powerful, incredibly versatile and they can be easily deployed to operate on various sites including greenfields.
- Cranage (25T – 800T): From Rough-Terrain and All-Terrain cranes to Heavy Lift Cranes, we have access to a crane fleet that carries some of the most powerful machines in Africa for heavy material handling & structure relocation. Mobile cranes offer a dynamic lifting machine whether its raising or lowering loads or working in tight confines where maneuverability and high reach. They easily transportable to sites where they can start operating immediately with little setup or assembly.
- Strand Jacks (ranging from 70T – 680T): We use our Strand Jacks in heavy construction projects, especially for bridges, ports, and large-scale plant maintenance projects. Strand jacks lift, slide, support and transfer large and heavy loads along a straight line. Strong, yet compact, they are ideal for situations where there is limited space for other heavy lifting equipment. Our Strand Jacks come in 2 x sets (4 x 70T and 2 x 200T).
- Crane Trucks (15 – 90TM): Our impressive fleet of Crane Trucks are fitted with state-of-the-art Fassi hydraulic cranes to power lift heavy items around a job site. These beastly machines are self-contained rigging entities – a crew, truck, crane and trailer in one. They provide a narrow footprint and can fit into tight, confined areas with low head room.
- Overhead Cranes (20 – 40T): Our Warehouse Facilities are equipped with overhead cranes to handle and lift almost any heavy machinery.
- Hydraulic Jack & Slide System (1000T): Our jack and slide system is the ideal solution to move or install extremely heavy equipment or material in areas with limited space, overhead obstructions, and restricted access to installation areas.
- Jacking System (800T): This system is generally used when there is a lack of space or access and we often use it as an alternative to cranage. It is often used for the jacking of of bridges / heavy material from construction height to its final position.

CAD designs and rigging studies are prepared by our In-House Technical Design team, adhering to the strictest safety standards.
Heavy Lift: Transport & Abnormal Loads
Heavy Lift Projects often require the transportation or relocation of heavy, abnormally sized equipment and this is when our Lovemore Bros Transport & Abnormal Loads team partners with us. The team will assist us with route surveys, RTI escorts and all the required specialised transport equipment and documentation required for the project. Our fleet of of heavy lift transport equipment includes:
- Extendable Multi-Axle Trailer: Hauling heavy loads often require multi-axles to distribute their load and adhere to axle regulations.
- Self-Powered Modular Trailer: With its modular build, the trailer can be built in a range of positions to suit the heavy or dimensionally challenging load
